Flesh Prison’s Self-titled Debut EP – Review

FLESH PRISON’S self-titled debut EP is a must-have for bleed-my-ears deathcore and metal fans. The attack of testosterone-juiced guitar riffs, barking vocals, and gut-punching drums is ferocious and unapologetically relentless. Flesh Prison is living proof that not everyone in Canada is a smiling, yuppie-fuck wisecracker.

But beneath the mega-violent sonic rage, cleverly placed time changes or bold full stops keep the songs from suffering “fuck you, motherfucker” washout. “No Peace” showcases the band members’ distinctive talents and could be the song that lands Flesh Prison on not-so-deathcore-ish playlists.

If Flesh Prison’s live experience unleashes the same energy they’ve stamped on this record, moshers of the pit need to accept their fate now: you’ll be eating some face-bows and have a sore everything for a few days.

FLESH PRISON’S debut is a slaughterhouse hell where the walls are drenched in fresh blood, and the folks doing the slaughtering, well, they all have huge bloody fucking smiles on their faces, and they might just slaughter you too.
